One Father's Journey after the Death of his Daughter

‘Twas the Night Before Zoe

This is exciting! 75 weeks of pregnancy come to a head tomorrow. Zoe decided not to come on her own terms, so the doctor and staff will start the inducing around 7:30 AM.

It’s exciting. We’re reaching the end of this part of the journey. It has been a loooooooooong road just to get here. We’re excited. We’re antsy. We know what’s supposed to happen tomorrow, but we don’t really know what it’s like. We know one thing, though. This time, we get to win. Really. We get to win.

It’s tough to get to sleep tonight. It’s going to be an early wake-up tomorrow, just because we’ll be too jumpy to stay down. It’ll be fun.

We know that a whole ton of people are praying for us and Zoe tomorrow and waiting for updates. We’ll be shutting everything down for the duration, Please, go about your normal lives for the day. I know that people want to know. When Zoe appears, and I get the go ahead to fire away, you’ll know. My voice carries, so you may hear the shouts as far away as Togo or Singapore. 🙂

At the earliest, there shouldn’t be any news until 5ish U.S. Central time. This stuff takes time. Enjoy living. As soon as we know something, word races out at the speed of electronics!

Victory awaits. We know it. This is nice.

‘Twas the Night Before Zoe, and all through the house, every creature was stirring, til Zoe comes out.

Soon, Zoe. Soon. 🙂

  1. Praying for all 3 of you and the staff.

  2. Thinking of you and your family and sending positive vibes from PA… can’t wait to hear the news!
